Priti Patel MP in the House of Commons***Unfortunately due to circumstances beyond our control we have had to cancel the workshop part of this event.  We will still be running the Women in Democracy guided tour of the main galleries from 1.00pm – 2.00pm.  Apologies for any disappointment.***

Black, Asian and other ethnic minority women are drastically under-represented in parliament.  Find out how you can get involved in changing your future and helping your community. The Parliamentary Outreach service will lead an interactive workshop.  Discover how parliament works, how national decisions are examined and how laws are made.  Explore women’s role in the democratic process today.  Find out how to get your voice heard and how to develop your knowledge.   Includes a special Women in Democracy guided tour of PHM. Delivered in partnership with Breaking the Cycle UK. Suitable for adults and young people.  Please note that this event is aimed at women from black, Asian and ethnic minority backgrounds.

  • Please note event attendees must arrive at least ten minutes before the start time of the event, otherwise their booked space will be given to someone on the reserve list
  • Please contact the museum as soon as possible if you wish to cancel your reservation so your place can be given to another visitor
