9-22 March 2015, Still We Rise @ People's History Museum © Jenny WhiteJoin WAST (Women Asylum Seekers Together – Manchester) and MiSol (Manchester Migrant Solidarity) for their performance piece highlighting their campaign to shutdown Yarl’s Wonder Women Radical ManchesterWood Detention Centre.

Through photographs, dance, song, drama, poetry and spoken word Still We Rise communicates the stark realities of life and the injustices faced by women seeking sanctuary in the UK.  The women express their resilience and resistance to the ultimate inhumanity experienced within the asylum system at Yarl’s Wood Detention Centre.  Part of Wonder Women Radical Manchester.

Booking Requirements:

  • Please note event attendees must arrive at least ten minutes before the start time of the event, otherwise their booked space will be given to someone on the reserve list
  • Please contact the museum as soon as possible if you wish to cancel your reservation so your place can be given to another visitor
  • Please note all donations are non refundable
