This unique collection of photographs, from a newly restored and unseen archive of 12,000 images, shows aspects of life during the post war period.

There are iconic photographs from the Cheetham Hill area, including shops, cinemas, street scenes, Whit Walks, dance halls, portraits and migrant ancestors, and some of Salford industries.  The collection is significant because it reflects the multicultural context of Cheetham Hill’s 25 November - 4 February 2017, Salford & Cheetham Hill In Focus @ People’s History Museum. Premiere Cinema, Cheetham Hill, 1956development and its diverse community.

The exhibition also gives you the opportunity to share your memories relating to the photographs.We Love Kids in Museums
