15 June 2013, Remembering Michael Foot @ People's History Museum

Time 10:30 - 15:00

Duration 4 hours 30 minutes

Michael Foot was leader of the Labour Party in opposition in the early 1980s.  Memories of this term are so often reduced to his puppet on TV’ s Spitting Image, or his wearing his duffle coat on Remembrance Sunday.  Few remember Foot for his oration, his activism, his journalism, his learning.

This public event will remember Michael Foot, with testimony from friends, family, journalists and colleagues.

Speakers will include Peter Tatchell, political campaigner best known for his work with LGBT social movements.
