A ten week Workers’ Educational Association (WEA) course

A study of key protests in Manchester in which people made history through strikes, struggle and campaigns.  The course will cover Peterloo, the Chartists, the struggle over jobs, fighting fascism, opposition to Section 28, and the Stop the War campaign.Workers' Educational Association

A ten week learning experience from the Workers’ Educational Association (WEA) in association with the People’s History Museum.

Suitable for 19 years and over

  • Treat yourself to 10% off in The Left Bank cafe bar and 10% off in the museum shop when you attend an event at the People’s History Museum
