Led by editor and journalist Malu Halasa, a discussion of women’s experiences during the conflict in Syria and the role their work has played in society.  There will also be a selection of readings from women writers, some still in Syria and in exile providing personal accounts of what it is like to be on the ground both inside and outside of the conflict.

Hear from writers Rasha Abba, Rana Abdul Fattah and Marwa Al Sabouni, some who will be there in person others via Skype.

An accompanying event to Community Gallery exhibition Parallel Republic: The Art of Civil Disobedienceon display until Sunday 2 April 2017.
