23 August 2014, Matchstick City @ People's History Museum image © Connecting ThreadsConnecting Threads bring us Matchbox City; an ambitious participatory project using sculpture, animation and storytelling to explore ideas about the current housing crisis and notions of home.  Engaging people from across the North West and collaborating with people affected by homelessness, a series of sculptural installations will spring up in unexpected places each with their own story to tell. 23 August 2014, Matchstick City @ People's History Museum image © Connecting Threads

The matchstick figures and buildings have populated areas of the North West, looking at people’s stories about where they live.  Come along and make your own unique miniature sculpture of a matchstick figure to take home and populate the space around you.

Keep up to date with the project on TwitterFacebook and Tumblr.
