100 years ago the Representation of the People Act passed, giving the vote to all men and some women in Britain, and 50 years ago the Women’s Liberation Movement began a sustained campaign for equal rights.

Join author Eva Tutchell as she discusses her new book The Stalled Revolution: Is Equality for Women an Impossible Dream? drawing on historical and contemporary perspectives to convey what it felt like to be at the heart of the campaigns; the excitement, the solidarity, the suffering and the humour. Heritage Lottery Funded

The Stalled Revolution poses a vital question about the future: are women ready to draw inspiration from past successes and take a third leap forward towards equality?
