Due to high demand, an additional tour of the exhibition (starting at 7.00pm) is now open for booking.

This year PHM will host a major exhibition of photography from the age of the Industrial Revolution.  As Britain’s society changed, advances in photography enabled industrial workers to document their own lives for the first time.  Curated by leading documentary photographer Ian Beesley, the exhibition will showcase previously unseen images from the period, taken from important photographic collections.

We have teamed up with Guardian Local to host a special private view for Guardian Members during the exhibition’s opening week.  Enjoy a glass of wine with other Members before Ian Beesley talks through the collection.  Guests are also entitled to a 10% discount in the museum’s shop for the evening.
