To celebrate the launch of Glad Tidings of Struggle and Strife – a History of Protest Christmas Cards, author Llew Smith, ex Labour MP for Blaenau Gwent in South Wales (following on from Michael Foot), talks about his unique collection of protest Christmas cards.

Dating from the mid nineteenth century to the present day, the cards cover most of the political, industrial and social struggles during that period of time.  The examples of artwork go from Walter Crane in the 19th century to present day cartoonists such as Steve Bell and Martin Rowson.

Llew will be available for Q & A and book signing as part of the event.

Suitable for adults.
