We’ll be talking about their work, and discussing the power of creativity to transform otherwise difficult and overlooked experiences, and the importance of visual arts in increasing trans visibility. And you’ll have your chance to ask us questions about our work and the exhibition as a whole.

SparkPart of SPARK, a brand new trans arts festival, raising trans-visibility in a creative way, in Manchester from 1-7 July. Looking below the tip of the trans-visibility-iceberg, SPARK will showcase a diverse range of new and challenging work from artists across the trans spectrum and spark discussions. Venues across Manchester, such as Manchester Art Gallery, the People’s History Museum and the Portico Library, are opening their doors to host trans film, literature, art, cabaret and club nights. SPARK takes place in the lead up to the Sparkle Weekend, curated by Trans Creative, a Manchester- based trans led, trans positive, and trans creative theatre company.
