Behind the Scenes at People’s History Museum

Take a tour of our fascinating Textile Conservation Studio with one of our Textile Conservators and find out about their current conservation projects.  Then delve into the Labour History Archive & Study Centre and discover the records of the social, political and economic life of the last two centuries.Heritage Open Days

  • Textile Conservation Studio tour, booking required via Eventbrite (see below): 1.00pm – 2.00pm
  • Archive delve and discover, drop in event: 2.00pm – 4.00pm

Free historic bus rides from the collection of the Museum of Transport Sat 12 & Sun 13 Sept:

Circular route departing from the Museum of Transport at 11.00am heading to MOSI, leaving MOSI at 11.25am, arriving at People’s History Museum at 11.30am, then continuing the cycle with departures from the Museum of Transport every hour until the last round trip at 4.00pm.  Route will include a stop at the Manchester Jewish Museum on the Sunday only.  All times are subject to traffic disruption, so may leave later than shown, but will not leave earlier.  No booking required.Heritage Open Days free buses © Museum of Transport Greater ManchesterMuseum of Transport Greater Manchester
