Ada and Margaret are struggling to come to terms with life as land army girls, and when Margaret falls in love with a German prisoner of war her life becomes even more complicated.  As Margaret settles into married life and motherhood, events take an unexpected turn…

There are many aspects to ageing and one of them is a desire to share experiences through storytelling and anecdotes.  Wythenshawe Good Neighbours have listened to many of their elderly community in Wythenshawe andAge-friendly Manchester complied a dramatic piece to share with a wider audience.  Each time a person tells their story, those who listen will see them in a different light.  Reminiscing is a free flow of thinking and talking; it’s conversation, something that is missing in many elderly people’s lives.  As companions to  elderly people,  Wythenshawe Good Neighbours have many conversations.

Ada, Margaret, Friedrich and Len are real people with real stories to tell.  Wythenshawe Good Neighbours have captured those stories and will bring them to life for you.  This will be the first performance in public and so the group would be interested in feedback.
