Michael Crick has been called the journalist who ‘continues digging when others stop’. One of the most unorthodox and effective political journalists in the country, he has written authoritative work on the militant tendency, a well received biography on Jeffrey Archer (though not by Archer himself) and been hit over the head by UKIP’s Godfrey Bloom.

A founder of Channel 4 News in 1982, Michael has worked on the BBC’s Panorama programme, Newsnight, and is now Channel 4’s political correspondent.  Winner of the Royal Television Society Specialist Journalist of the Year 2014 and Political Studies Association Journalist of the Year 2014, this will be Michael’s eighth general election in a career covering elections over 30 years.

Come and hear Michael’s thoughts on the current election and just what it’s like to report as a journalist on a major campaign.
