Michael Foot has often been praised for his decency, integrity, and progressive politics.  So what prevented him from becoming Prime Minister?  Caricatured as a doddering fool, was it the man or the policies that failed?  And can we separate the two?

Join biographer Carl Rollyson as he discusses his new book A Private Life of Michael Foot, portraying Foot in his full human and political complexity.  Discover Foot’s thoughts about his career, his family, friendships, and his adversaries, set out against the backdrop of his life in Hampstead, his jaunts around London, his days in Plymouth, Wales, and his favourite holiday spot, Dubrovnik.
