pARTicipate: The Art of Protest

How and why do people protest? Explore historic and contemporary protests and create your own protest art

Art of Protest @ People's History Museum

pARTicipate includes a range of artist led workshops informed by our unique collections.  We can tailor the session to meet the needs of your particular topic – just ask!

How and why do people protest?  This session looks at images of protest and objects from our collections, as well as contemporary protests to find out about historic and contemporary protest art.  Working with an artist, learners will experiment with different sketching and multimedia techniques to design their own protest art in this half or full day session.
