Guided Gallery Tours

Explore the museum’s exhibits with a member of staff

Guided Gallery Tours

Groups can book a guided tour of the main galleries or Changing Exhibition Gallery; tours are led by a member of museum staff and can be tailored to meet the needs of your particular topic or the support needs of your group.

  • Session length: 45 minutes – 1 hour
  • Session cost: £3.50 per learner.  Minimum charge £35.00

Why not combine with…

Why not combine your Guided Tour with an Introduction to Archives session, where your group can look  at original source archive material related to your topic in our Labour History Archive & Study Centre.

Or relax with a cup of tea or coffee and a scone with jam and cream in The Left Bank cafe bar with our Teas & Tours offer.

LGBT History tour

On this tour of the museum’s main galleries discover how the history of gender and sexuality has been affected by society, politics and activism over the past 200 years.

This tour is suitable for school groups (Key Stages 4 & 5), young people, adults and community groups who are interested in finding out more about LGBT History.

This tour has been developed in consultation with LGBT groups and academic advisors as part of the museum’s Play Your Part project.

For further details on any of the above information or to book a session, please use the Learning enquiry form or call 0161 838 9190.
