Parliament Week at People’s History Museum

16-22 November 2015, Parliament Week @ People's History Museum

Can’t wait until the general election 2020 to have your say?  Join us for a week of events and activities to discover how you can play your part.

Parliament Week is a national programme of events and activities that connects people with parliament and democracy in the UK.  We’ve teamed up with organisations including the Political Studies Association, the Parliamentary Outreach Service and Regional Asylum Activism to #DoDemocracy.  From creating your own Chartist-style petition, activist training and learning about women in democracy, there’s something for everyone.

Highlights include the UK premiere of Death or Liberty, a new dramatised documentary about the rebels, radicals and reformers exiled as convicts to Australia.  Make your voice heard at our Question Time event and discuss the challenges of austerity and its impact on marginalised groups with local MPs.  Visit our website for the full programme of events running from Monday 16 to Sunday 22 November 2015.
