Opening day of Death and the Working Class

The museum’s next changing exhibition, Death and the Working Class, opens to the public on Saturday 23 October. 

For the opening day we’ve got lots of activities going on. 

Saturday 23 October
10.00 – 5.00pm

All day
A 1933 Austin hearse will be on display.

10.15 am and 1.15pm
A horse drawn hearse will tour the city centre.

11.00am and 2.00pm
The Co-operative Brass Band, Crewe will perform light concert music including the New World Symphony.

12.00pm and 2.45pm
Coffin making demonstration by John Rae from The Co-operative Funeralcare Coffin Factory, Glasgow.

In addition, be the first to view the exhibition itself.

Suitable for all ages, no booking required and free to all.
