8 October 2014 - 18 January 2015, Colours, Community and Chemistry exhibition @ People's History Museum, from Pakistan to PrestonThe museum is delighted to host this exciting new Community Gallery exhibition.  Curated by A T Boyle, Colours, Community and Chemistry is a contemporary collaboration between regional artists and scientists featuring rare films, photos, words, research and textiles.

Don’t miss the exhibition launch event on Monday 22 September 2014, 5.30pm – 6.30pm.  Hazel Blears, MP for Salford and Eccles and ex Labour Cabinet minister, has made a four minute film especially for the exhibition.  Her amusing and touching insights into factory camaraderie when working as a student at Cussons describe soap manufacturing and packaging processes as they happened – not far from the People’s History Museum (think, Salford’s version of Made in Dagenham).

The preview trailblazer (on display from Monday 22 September until Sunday 5 October) and film will be introduced by A T Boyle, exhibition curator and author of the novel from Pakistan to Preston.

Enjoy the launch event and preview trailblazer before the full exhibition comes to the museum’s Community Gallery, on display from Wednesday 8 October to Sunday 18 January 2015.
