We had some very special visitors to the museum last week, who were very excited to see their artwork on display at the PHM.
‘Smarties’ are a group of children aged 3 to 4 years of age from Cheeky Cherubs Nursery. Cheeky Cherubs Nursery is situated on the opposite side of the River Irwell from the People’s History Museum so the children enjoy many visits to the museum. Over January, February and March the children participated in three of our exciting and inspiring interactive story sessions:
The children produced works of art in workshops at the museum and at the nursery. Their beautiful artworks are now on display at the museum.
Julia Brown, nursery manager said, ‘all of the children and staff of Cheeky Cherubs Nursery have really enjoyed the experience and are very proud to display their work to the public. Thanks to Catherine, Lisa, Emily and the team at the People’s History Museum for working with us to make this happen.’
The artwork is on display until 10 June 2012. Please call us on 0161 838 9190 to make an appointment to view the exhibition.
If you would like to bring your group to see one of story sessions, please email firstname.lastname@example.org for more information.
We also have public performances of the stories. Check out our What’s On calendar for full details of events coming up.
