Election! Learning Sessions

Book one of our election themed Learning sessions for your group

Preparing for the election 1974. Election-exhibition-at-Peoples-History-Museum

The museum displayed the changing exhibition Election! Britain Votes from Saturday 14 February to Sunday 28 June 2015. Learning groups can continue to book any of our Election! themed Learning sessions for their school or community learners.

Suitable for key stage 2, 3, 4 & post 16 groups

Living History workshops use performance, interactive drama activities and gallery exploration to bring learning to life.

pARTicipate workshops are a range of artist-led workshops informed by our unique collections.

Walks & Writing workshops

  • City Centre Trail – explore Manchester’s election history with a qualified tour guide
  • Creative Writing – Every Object Tells A Story, let our collections inspire your students to write their own election speech, led by a professional writer

Post 16 groups

Self-guided

The Learning Team produced self-led resources, including writing, drawing and drama activities for school groups and adult groups to use when they visited the exhibition. Please see our Election! exhibition resources page for more information. You can continue to download the resources to be used with your group, though please note you will need to make some amends to the resources as the exhibition is no longer on display.
