A-level Study Days, Labour History Archive & Study Centre @ People’s History Museum The Labour History Archive & Study Centre A-level study days

The People’s History Museum has been generously funded by the Amiel and Melburn Trust to develop a series of study days for A-level students.  We are currently looking for groups to pilot these newly developed resources in one of two topics, either the 1906 Liberal Reform Act or the 1945 General Election.  Students will have unique access to the museum’s archive and primary source materials.  For more information contact louise.sutherland@phm.org.uk

Beatrice Webb's desk - Play Your Part creative courses @ People’s History Museum Play Your Part creative courses

We have two very exciting opportunities for you to Play Your Part and get involved creatively with the PHM this winter.  Our Sensory Labyrinth Theatre course is an innovative and new way to create a performance and you don’t need any performance experience to do it!  In our Creative Writing course, award winning scriptwriter Emily Capstick will help you develop a short monologue inspired by the PHM.  The courses are free and are suitable for adults and young people.

pARTicipate Build a Banner, Broadgreen International School @ People’s History Museum Blog feature: pARTicipate Build a Banner

Students from Broadgreen International School, Liverpool have become our latest Learning bloggers.  The students have written about their visit and how they worked together to create their own solidarity banner as part of our pARTicipate Build a Banner workshop.  ‘Going to the PHM was a very good experience because we learnt how to all work together, how to get our points across better’.  Read their blog to find out more details about how they created their banner.
