Learning Autumn 2011

Welcome to our first Learning e-newsletter

Learning Programme

Our revamped lifelong learning programme was launched last year and takes advantage of the fantastic facilities in our stunning new museum.  We have something for everyone, from storytelling sessions for early years groups, to Living History and pARTicipate workshops for schools and tours and talks for adults.  All of our sessions can be adapted for community groups.  Our full programme of learning activities and free downloadable resources can be found online.

Double Up!

The People’s History Museum and the Museum of Science and Industry (MOSI) are just ten minutes walk away from each other and we’re working together to make visiting both museums even easier. You can mix and match any available half days sessions at both museums to create one full day visit in Manchester. We will help you to plan your visits and will co-ordinate your bookings at both museums.  Funded by Renaissance.

Connect, Learn, Explore: Picturing Politics private view

We would like to invite you to a special private view of our next exhibition Picturing Politics. On Monday 28 November come along and meet the learning team over a glass of wine and find out about our full learning programme as you explore the exhibition. Throughout the duration of the exhibition we will be offering ten schools or community groups our popular Print Power workshop for half price.  Just quote offer code PP1 when booking.
