Introduction to Archives sessions at the Labour History Archive & Study Centre
Why not bring your group to the Labour History Archive & Study Centre and make use of some of the hundreds of archive collections relating to the 19th and 20th century political, social and economic history of Britain.
The archive offers Introduction to Archives sessions for groups of up to 12 learners, with a fascinating behind the scenes look at the archive collections and the opportunity to handle and interrogate primary sources from the Chartists to New Labour. The archive also holds a collection of over 100,000 photographs from both the Labour Party and the Communist Party of Great Britain; 19th and 20th century newspapers, and over 17,000 political pamphlets.
The archive also welcomes smaller groups and individual researchers.
For further information or to book an Introduction to Archives session please use the archive enquiry form to contact the Archive Team or call 0161 838 9190.
