new Labour: new life for Britain
The Labour Party’s campaign ‘new Labour, new life for Britain’ set out the details of the party’s policies for the 1997 General Election.
The 40 page booklet accentuates the message of a reformed and ‘New Labour’. This ‘New Labour’ was devised to regain trust from the British public and to portray the separation from the ‘old Labour’. Labour established four main areas of reform: modernising the economy, rebuilding society, renewing politics and providing leadership in the world.
