Conservative Party general election leaflet, 1966This is a leaflet from the 1966 general election.  It is a Conservative Party leaflet calling for the United Kingdom’s entry into what was then called the Common Market.

The Conservative leader at the time was Edward Health, a passionate advocate of Common Market entry.

The Labour Party won the general election handsomely, being returned to power with a parliamentary majority of 97 seats under the leadership of Harold Wilson.
