The People’s History Museum contains one of the largest collections of political, protest and campaigning material in the UK. We are recruiting a new Collections Officer who will be a key figure in the museum’s ongoing development.
The successful candidate will have exceptional attention to detail with a demonstrable knowledge of cataloguing and caring for a collection to Accreditation Standards. They will have knowledge of 19th or 20th century political or working class history and a commitment to making collections accessible to all. A collections champion, the post holder will work closely with the Conservation, Learning, Engagement and Exhibition teams to ensure that the collection continues to be at the heart of all PHM’s work. There will also be the opportunity to contribute to developing the museum’s programme for the years 2018, 2019 and 2020.
